Puerto de Palma

Bellver Castle

Located in the west of Palma, this Gothic styled circular shaped castle was once a residence of King James II. For many centuries this castle was used as a prison, its strong structure proved difficult for inmates to escape. These days the castle is a museum of municipal history.
