October.
Summer is fading, and autumn is slowly making its way towards this magical paradise island. But the soft air is reluctant to let go of its gentle grip, and right now, it creates perfect conditions for excursions and road trips with the roof down.

I have enjoyed plenty of the latter these past days.
We have had family visiting from Norway, relatives I haven’t seen in 20 years, and it’s their first time on Mallorca. There was a lot of catching up to do, and a lot of hidden gems to show them. For me, it has been wonderful to get to know them again, to connect, and to be reminded of this amazing island’s diversity.

A trip across Mallorca feels a bit like travelling through Europe. Mallorca has clear elements of Tuscany in Italy, hints of Provence in France as well as parts of Croatia, all mixed with Mallorca’s own trademarks. Breathtakingly beautiful scenery everywhere you look. And each area is distinct.

This visit has been a welcome reminder of the choice I made when moving here in 2000.
I have fallen in love. Again. With Mallorca. <3
